The City of Richland and Richland Mayor’s Youth Council will host “Nightmare on Harper Street” Friday, October 22, from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m., at the Richland Community Center. Ages eight and above are invited to attend the annual event and celebration. Children under the age of eight may also attend, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Halloween festivities continue on Saturday morning, October 23, beginning at 9 a.m. with the Richland Fallfest Car Show “Spooktacular.” The four-hour show will include door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, numerous children’s activities, and awards. Based on popular vote, there will be an award for best-decorated car, best-decorated truck, best-dressed driver, best-dressed child, best-dressed pet, and an overall best in the show.
There is a $25 entry fee per vehicle. The first fifty registration forms received will win a dash plate.
Also scheduled for Saturday at the Richland Community Center is the “2021 Highway 49 Fall Fest and Kid’s Fun” event for kids ages eight and under. Running from 4 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., the kid-friendly event will include games, inflatables, and face painting. The first 100 attendees will also be given the opportunity to select a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.
The annual “Nightmare on Harper Street” will cap off the Saturday evening festivities, beginning at 7:30 p.m. and winding down by 10 p.m.
