PPSD Revised Back-to-School Plan

Due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases and upon recommendation from the CDC and MSDH, the Pearl Public School District board voted to require masks to be worn indoors for all students, employees, and visitors beginning Tuesday, August 10, 2021. This decision was reached in an effort to keep our schools open and to provide students with face-to-face learning opportunities in a safe school environment.

Requiring masks will assist in the district’s efforts to maintain a safe school environment for students and staff and to minimize classroom disruptions due to quarantines. Masks will be available for students and employees, if needed. Also, by keeping the schools open, parents/guardians are able to continue working and the economy can thrive, which is a concern for all of us.

The Board of Trustees and administrators of Pearl Public School District are working diligently to make decisions in the best interest of our students and employees during these uncertain times. As we are all aware, the entire COVID-19 situation is one that is constantly evolving. With this in mind, the district will continue to monitor and reevaluate the situation, making adjustments as needed.
