PHS Senior Cameron Mayers Recognized for Student Advocacy Work

Pearl High School Senior and Mississippi State Thespian Student Officer (PHS Troupe 4537) Cameron Mayers, was acknowledged for his recent student advocacy work in a victory securing MS Senate Resolution No. 506, which recognizes the month of March as “Theatre In Our Schools” Month. Thanks to Cameron’s efforts, Mississippi now joins the Educational Theatre Association and the International Thespian Society to raise public awareness of the impact of theatre education and draw attention to the need for more access to quality programs for all students. Cameron has been a part of Pearl High School Thespian Troupe 4537 for four years and has been instrumental in his work on and off the stage at Pearl. Cameron was also recently inducted into the Mississippi Thespian Hall of Fame.
