Mugshots building in Tinseltown parking lot

Mugshots opening in Tinseltown parking lot

Flowood Mugshots owners, Cliff and Hunter Russum, were looking for a new Mugshots location in Pearl and having no luck. They asked the realtor about space in the Tinseltown parking lot, and the rest is history. A new 7,000 sq. ft., 225-seat prototype Mugshots restaurant is being built in that exact location, set to open later this year.

According to Cliff Russum, owner/manager, they will be starting a Facebook page in 30-60 days to provide construction and hiring updates. He plans to hire 60-75 employees.

Mugshots was founded in 2008 by Ron Savell and Chris McDonald. After splitting for many years, the brand and company are now owned solely by Savell, with the Russum brothers owning two franchises at Airport Road and the newest store in Pearl, which will be the eighteenth Mugshots location in Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana.

There is now consistency in all Mugshots with the same menus and same products, according to Russum. And, they are looking to build more restaurants, possibly in the Metro Area.

Russum also said that the franchise has changed their famous burger, which has been named “Best Burger in Mississippi” for the last ten years by Mississippi Magazine. Instead of using a frozen patty, they now use a 100% fresh patty, certified Angus beef.

“We are excited to offer something different for Pearl,” he said. “This is a place where you can take your family and your children.”
