The Connection, Mississippi’s Retail & Entertainment Destination, located at the “Crossroads of the South” in Pearl, is welcoming another prominent brand to the area.
Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders will open its doors early next year on Bass Pro Drive, just off of Highway 80 in Pearl, Mississippi. Huey Magoo’s offers premium chicken tenders, salads, sandwiches, and wraps that are made with marinated chicken and cooked to perfection from the finest ingredients, then served with dipping sauce for ultimate consuming pleasure.
With its recent growth of chains popping up all throughout the southeast, it’s no wonder why Huey Magoo’s has emerged as a rising brand that is quickly becoming a local favorite. Speaking of local, Huey Magoo’s location within The Connection will be the second store in the entire state of Mississippi.
Kristi Orr, CEO of Love Me Tenders LLC (franchise of Huey Magoo’s) stated, “We are very excited to come to Pearl. Our McComb location is in our hometown. It has done very well, and we are excited to branch out and get into the Jackson Metro area, and we chose Pearl as our first location to come up here.”
What does this mean for the city of Pearl? “This is just another feather in our hat to have another restaurant to locate to our city and something that our citizens can enjoy and the people in the metro area and whoever passes through,” said Pearl Mayor Jake Windham. “We try to take care of our citizens, but we also try to take care of our businesses.” With the inclusion of a chicken chain restaurant for the city, locals will have access to yet another delicious food option. Plus, this is proof that the city continues to grow and gives patrons even more reasons to venture out this way in Rankin County.
The construction project is being led by Yates Construction, which has built a majority of the businesses along Bass Pro Drive within The Connection. Huey Magoo’s is expected to open in early January 2022.
