CMPDD provides COVID-19 vaccinations to homebound

Central Mississippi Planning & Development District, Inc. (CMPDD) Area Agency on Aging is currently providing in-home COVID-19 vaccination. A nurse administers a vaccine, free of charge, at the residence of those who are homebound. No assessment is required for this service. Contact CMPDD’s Mississippi Access to Care (MAC) Center (at 844-822-4622to request a COVID-19 vaccine. This service includes the first and second doses.

For those interested in being vaccinated, but lack transportation, CMPDD also provides transportation to vaccination sites – from pick-up, transport to the facility as well as the return ride home.


This program will continue as long as funds are available.

The main purpose of the MAC Center is to provide assistance to the elderly as well as people with disabilities – along with their families and representatives. Finding long-term care services and supports to keep them living well and independently is the Center’s main objective. It is a welcoming and accessible place located in Jackson, Mississippi where people can obtain unbiased information and assistance in locating services and supports. The MAC Center provides a central source of reliable and objective information about a broad range of programs and services. It also helps people understand and evaluate the various options available to them regardless of income or eligibility for publicly funded long-term care.


The Center specialists provide assistance within the local center, over the telephone, within a person’s home, or in another convenient location. All assistance is free and confidential.
