7th Annual Kickin’ Cancer Coed Kickball Tournament in Memory of Paige McLendon

The 7th Annual Kickin’ Cancer Coed Kickball Tournament in Memory of Paige McLendon was held October 4th at Richland Eastside Park. While this benefit started as a fundraiser to help Paige as she fought her own battle against cancer, it has continued to grow even years later. Thanks to the participation and contribution of so many, Paige’s family is able to use all proceeds to “pay it forward” and help another family fighting their own fight. Having raised more than ever, this year’s recipient is Florence’s very own June Goodson, who is a seven-year-old sweetheart battling cancer for the second time. Prayers and thoughts are with her and her family! Thank you again to all participants, contributors, volunteers, and sponsors, especially the City of Richland, Cole Smith, Guy Smith, Tammy and Norman Morgan, Kristina Jordan, Michael Jordan and Sonic of Richland, Joey Sebren and Mazzio’s of Richland, Kristi Robinson, David McGowan, Ernest Gibson, Obie and Lisa Hosey, Lynn Pearson, Tom and April Cosgrave, Hinds Community College Eagles Soccer, Enforcers, Rubber Busters, 49ers, Patriots, RFC, GI Joes, Scott and Austin Brown, and Travis Berry, For more information regarding this fundraiser and upcoming tournaments, please email m1llerfundraising@yahoo.com.
