Each year, Mississippi Spay and Neuter (MS SPAN) of Richland holds a fundraiser designed to defray the daily expenses of running the non-profit organization. Their primary goal is to provide low cost spay and neuter services across the state of Mississippi. This year’s “Summer Spaytacular” is being held as an online event and will feature an online auction.

To participate in the online auction — or to donate items — Bidding will begin on Wednesday, June 1, at 12 a.m. and will end on Sunday, June 12. Items and experiences will be added as they are received.

This year’s Summer Spaytacular will also feature an online 50/50 raffle. Tickets may be purchased online. The winner will be selected on Sunday, June 12, and will receive half of the raffle proceeds.

MS SPAN continues to seek sponsors for this year’s event. Sponsorships provide resources which ensure that families can access spay/neuter services at affordable prices and that no one is ever turned away based on their ability to pay. On average, families need $22.50 in financial support per surgery performed at MS SPAN’s clinic. Each surgery saves countless lives through prevention.

Event sponsorship provides an opportunity for companies to be featured in MS SPAN’s pre-, during and post-event promotion that reaches thousands of people across Mississippi. Event sponsorship opportunities start at just $250. Organizers say that the sooner sponsor submissions are received, the more pre-event advertising can be offered via promotional website, emails and more.

MS SPAN is a registered 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, funded by grants, individual donors, and sponsorships; contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Their EIN is 20-2938077.
